Discount Rate

Some lenders may offer a discount rate from their standard variable rate for a set period of time. The rate of the discount will remain the same for the agreed discount period but your overall monthly mortgage payment will vary as the lenders standard variable rate changes. At the end of the discount period you will normally change to the lenders standard variable rate. Discounted rates usually attract early repayment chrges.
